Every time I asked about timing the answer was the same: ’that’s on the regulator’s side’. Maybe so. But over eighteen months I heard it eight times and not once what the firm was doing meanwhile. The payment did come, 7,480. Two stars because I still don’t knw what exactly I paid my 12 percent for.
Forex: regulator-enforced compensationA 750-euro retainer, then a percentage on top. There is a result, but I spent a long time working out whether I came out ahead. I did, barely.
Crypto lender: withdrawal blockedmy funds got stolen on ExoTrade 😭😭 i was panicking... The court froze the wallets on the eexchange... not everyytthing was still there, the scammers had already moved some of it, but 78k euros came back 🙏 thank god
Crypto theft: court-ordered asset freezeThe «platform» from the call center simply didn’t exist – 22,500 gone. The lawyers gathered the evidence for the police; in 14 months they recoveed parrt of it from the seize account. I’m a cashier at the ferry ticket office in Piraeus, a small client, but they spoke with me like with a person, not like a case number. Three stars.
Fake platform via call centercheked them for weekss. KurhessenDirekt returned the money through these lawyers. not a scam. but it took long.
Forex bank: German EdW fundI was very afrad it was fraud agai, because the platform Maxigrid just locked the account and demanded another 2,225 euros for a «withdrawal corridor». thank you to your firm for stopping me and keeping me from paying the fraudsters even more. The money (8,021 euros in total) came back a week ago through CySEC. Though I had to wait almost three months, and I was insanely nervous.
Forex broker: withdrawal blockedThe money finally arrived, and only then did the tension let go. The prop firm kept the payouts frozen for over a year because of a regulator’s lawsuit (long stories aren’t my thing).
Prop-trading firm: frozen payouts(The nephew is writing this, because Uncle Stjepan can’t.) My uncle says to pass on his thanks. He got mixed up in some protocol called OmniCapital, where a hacker drained the liquidity through the oracle. My uncle lost 15k euros. The lawyers somehow leaned on their DAO and got 11k back. My uncle says: ’Bought new nets for teh boat, the lawyers did great, even though I didn’t undeerstand a thing.’
DEX: protocol exploit and recovery of fundsBitGrail stole my Ether. The insolvency estate is a joke, some pennies. The firm promised to pull everything out, but the segregated assets they returned in full, while the rest of the balance they credited in pennies. All in all I got about half of my 35k euros. Well, better than nothing, If I’m frank, I thought it would be zero altogether.
