So, briefly. The London class action against Nexo Capital. I’m from Quebec, but I joined the group. They told me at first to sell the tokens at a discount, I refused. We litigated for a long time. In the end a settlement, they paid me back my 61,382 euros (equivalent). The lawyers worked fine, but the communication... I had to write to them myself. They give no warmth, just dry updates.
Crypto lender: withdrawal blockedI had problems with My Forex Funds, they froze my account and all payouts, there was 21,117.59 euros there. I thought it was all lost because the regulator came down on them. I turned to this firm. They filed a lawsuit and waited until the court unfroze the company’s assets for payouts to traders. 8 months passed and then the money came to my bank account. They work If I’m frank, . An email every fortnight, even when nothing had moved.
Prop-trading firm: frozen payoutsThrough the court lses came back than was lost. but at least something. Thank you, Edmund.
Forex broker: withdrawal blockedThe segregated assets on the Adriatex exchange were returned in full through the insolvency estate thanks to the lawyers. The sum was some 33 thousands. the work was done well, but the lawyer Florence Kendrick disappeared for a week without any explanation. I thought I’d been ripped off again... Later it turned outt they were waiting for the liquidator’s reply in Italy. Couldn’t you have just emailed the client?? Part of the money never came back. Fine, but the communication needs improving.
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assetsWe should have written. The week of silence was down to waiting on the liquidator, but the client is told about that.
When the broker Camberwell FX collapsed, I had £45,008 stuck there. It was a huge shock. I turned to this service for advice about the FSCS. They explained that the limit back then was up to £50,000 (it’s since been raised after 2019 to £85,000). They helped me fill in all the forms for the UK compensation fund correctly. The money was fully reimbursed through the fund, but the procedure took an awful lot of time. I have on complaints about the firm itself, they work professionally.
Forex: broker collapse and FSCS fund (UK)I was defrauded over a phone call, some supposed exchange Vantera Group with a call center in the Balkans. 21,076 euros stolen. Wexcel Law handled my case. A Bavarian court convicted the fraudsters, their cars were auctioned off into a victims' fund. Got 14,149 euros back. Thank God and the lawwyers.
Fake platform via call centerthe fca cracked down on those scammers from Whitlock Trading Academy and i finally got 13,432 pounds compensation they got hit with a fine too. the lawyers filed the complaint and kept it on track. big respect
Forex: regulator-enforced compensationthe boys are absolute legends. pulled the cash out of CryptON X after the oracle got hacked. the DAO only gave back 30% and the lawyers put the hacker thruogh the wringer in court and goot the rest. 12k, straight up.respect
DEX: protocol exploit and recovery of fundsI’ll start a long way back, otherwise I can’t explain it. My husband died in January, and for the first time in my life I sat down alone with the paperwork. It turned out there was an account I knew nothing about, and that the bank no longer exists. For three months I told nobody, not even the children, because I was ashamed of not knowing about our own money. My daughter finally noticed the statements on the table. After that she did the calling, I only signed. They filled in the EdW form, I would never have managed — it asks for dates I don’t know, because my husband opened the account before we moved. The money came in October, less than I expected, because there’s a cap. They took their 12 percent out of that sum. I don’t know whether that’s a lot, I have nothing to compare it with. I only know that on my own I would have filed nothing and been left with nothing. Sorry this is long.
