After the crypto lender Sundvik Lending blocked the withdrawal of funds, I was in despair. The lawyers proposed joining a class action in London. As a result of a settlement, the assets were returned to us, but with a big discount – I received only about 64,065.63 euros instead of my 90,000. That’s less than I expected when I started this process, and the litigation dragged on very long. Nevertheless, I’m grateful to the team for bringing the matter to an end and wresting at least this money from the scammers’ hands.
Crypto lender: withdrawal blockedThe compensation was returned in full, so I’m writing: so that others don’t get hooked. The court ordered restitution for the broker’s affected clients, Wexcel filed the claim on time, I understand that not everyone was so lucky.
Forex/CFD: court-ordered restitutionThey said four mnths. It took two years. In that time I wrote to the prosecutor myself, found the case number myself and handed it to them myself. After that things moved. Question: what was I paying for? Some money came, 3,900. But I did that.
Crypto pyramid: criminal asset confiscationStraight out, at first i didn't believe it would work. the broker maxigrid blocked the account with seventeen thousand euros on it. the lawyers forced them through cysec to give the money back in three weeks. thecompany is fine took them ages but they did it. now i'll buy presents for the grandkids.
Forex broker: withdrawal blockedI’m not young anymore and I’ve told myself twice already not to get into these things again. But it happened. The platform closed off payouts, then everything froze. The lawyers explained that a regulator’s lawsuit and a freeze don’t mean the end. After a few months the payout resumed. I didn’t believe it until I saw the transfer. About 23 thousand euros. My wife laughed that I now check every letter three times. The only thing that annoyed me was that they asked for one more document when I thought I’d already sent everything.
Prop-trading firm: frozen payoutsThe court freezing the assets on the exchange is good. But part of my bitcoins the scammers had already sold off and scattered before the freeze, and the lawyers said right away that part couldn’t be recovered. So, I got back around 80,000 euros out of 120,000. The process dragged on a long time through the High Court in London. The firm is fine, works professionally, but they can’t work miracles, that’s a downside.
Crypto theft: court-ordered asset freezeA call centre rang me, supposedly some elite investment platform, and every week the ’manager’ would send a little screenshot of my balance going up. I put in £6,408 — and that was the money for the van lease, without the van I don’t work. Tried to cash out — dead silence, the number doesn’t exist anymore. Went to Wexcel. They dug up that the whole platform was painted on, and my transfers had gone off my card — and they leaned on the bank until it logged them as fraudulent. The bank fobbed me off at first, I’d never have cracked it on my own. In four month, £5,900 of the £6,408 came back. The van lives. Their prices bite, I own’t pretend otherwise, but the lads don’t put on a show, they actually got it sorted. Verdict: go with them.
Fake platform via call centerI’m very grateful to the team. When the VaultX exchange went bankrupt, my segregated assets (around €310,000) were stuck. thanks to the lawyers’ prompt intervention, I got the entire amount back in full, because segregated accounts didn’t become part of the insolvency estate. Professional and without any fuss.
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assetsFriends didn’t believe it would work, but it did. The regulator fined the broker and ordered it to compensate clients for their losses. Wexcel drew up the claim quickly, the money arrived with no delays.
