Put it this way, I’d already stopped believing. My husband traded on Halvard Markets, thought he was a big investor, while they were simply painting charts on the screen. When we wanted to withdraw 19,781 euros for the kitchen renovation, the broker just vanished and blocked the phone. That’s when my son found these lawyers online. They filed a request with CySEC and then, through th Cypriot compensation fund ICF, we were paid almost everything, around 16,705 euros, because they don’t cover certain broker fees. Honestly, the procedure took about 8 months, we’d forgotten all about the renovation by then. But the money arrived last week. A big thank you to Ms Ashcroft, who was always reachable and explained everything to my son.
Forex/CFD: court-ordered restitutionYour son asked the right questions, which made explaining easy. If more come up, do write — it is no trouble.
The DEX protocol was hacked, the DAO voted to return only part of the funds to the victims... Don’t believe that a community vote replaces a court. We filed the claim with Wexcel Law.
DEX: protocol exploit and recovery of fundsSupposedly an ’additional verification’ — that’s how the broker explained blocking the withdrawal of €15,605, and those two words alone ate up more than two months without a single detail. Wexcel Law sent an official request citing the deadlines set by the regulator. Two weeks later the money arrived. I gave the lawyers my word. I keep my word. Happy with the result, though it’s a shame that such an obvious matter needed lawyers at all.
Forex broker: withdrawal blockedCase number 217-K. I’m a fisherman from Rijeka, used to dealing with the sea, not with papers. When Zenith Yield stole my 15 thousand, I thought that was it. But the regulator filed for personal bankruptcy against the director. The administrator distributed the property. The lawyers managed to enter my claims into the register. Returned 10k. Good work.
Personal bankruptcy of a fraudulent directorMy father, an old engineer, had put all his savings into Verona Digital. When the exchange went bankrupt we thought it was the end. We came ehre on a colleague’s recommendation. The lawyers guided us through the whole process of the insolvecny estate and the segregated assets. They got 32,853.83 euros back in full! It’s a miracle. Thank you to Ms Kendrick for her patience with my deaf father.
Crypto exchange: insolvency and segregated assetsYour father asked very precise questions — corresponding with him was easier than half my phone calls. Please give him my regards.
They only told me the fee when I was signing. 15 percent plus 240 euros of ’administrative costs’ that nobody had mentioned before. After that everything was correct, no complaints, the fund paid and they passed it on. But money is what you discuss at the first meeting, not the last. I have already once believed people who ’clarify the terms later’.
Forex: broker collapse and FSCS fund (UK)Dear Ms Roux, the 15% rate and the administrative charge are set out in the costs schedule sent before the first meeting; we have checked the correspondence in your case. We consider your point about when this information was raised to be well founded. Since February the fees are stated aloud at the start of the consultation.
Straight out, i already wanted to hang myself. 25 thousand euros gone from the account when these TradeWinds just shut down the website. three firms in warsaw turned me down, said prop trading isn't regulated and the moneyy's gone. and these guys took it on!! they said the regu lator had frozen their accounts and you could wedge yourself in. well i waited about 8 months... the wife nagged me every day. but they got it out!!! not all the money about 21 thousand but that's better than zero!! writing from my phone so sorry for the mistakes.
Prop-trading firm: frozen payoutsthey got my money back from the company Ardena Lending!! there was a big class action in London and finally a settlement. got back almost everything, or more precisely the about 59 thousands that were frozen on the account. i took off a star because this whole process dragged on since 2023, i've had my second child in the meantime!! on the second platform they refused straight away, said it was hopeless. but the main thing is the money is on the account now.
Crypto lender: withdrawal blockedArbistar 2.0 took a lot of money. Thought it was over. The lawyers filed for criminal asset confiscation in Spain. The process runs super slow but the first part 12,512.64 euros is already on the card. Complaint that it’s hard to get through to your office, always busy or the answering machine
